Plastic Paradise: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch

I plan to do a series of posts over the next few months that revolve around something very close to my heart: living green. I'm especially passionate about reducing our use of single-use/disposable plastics. Plastic is a substance the earth cannot digest and is building up all over the world - on land and in the water - causing more issues than you could ever imagine. It's having a major affect on our environment.

I'll refer to the documentary featured below at one point or another. It's one that I highly encourage you watch, especially considering the position we are in right now - our President-elect denying that Global Warming exists.

Our consumption and careless disposal of plastic is a HUGE problem. HUGE. There are many steps that we as individuals can take to make an impact by improving our ecological footprint. More to come.
